Neta Collab partnered with Órale to develop a powerful name that would advance their mission of building a thriving immigrant-led movement to end criminalization and secure bold protections that allow immigrant communities to thrive.

 
 
 

Why is this project important?

The name of a movement organization must do more than identify - it needs to build power, inspire action, and create cultural resonance. For organizations fighting for immigrant justice, the name becomes a tool for movement building, one that needs to authentically represent community voices while effectively advancing systemic change.

For an organization focused on leadership development, political education, and transformative change, the name needs to:

  • Center immigrant power and lived experience

  • Support movement building and partnerships

  • Work effectively in organizing and advocacy spaces

  • Reflect values of abolition and liberation

  • Drive impact across local, state and national levels

Through our research-driven naming process, we:

  • Conducted comprehensive naming research and protection

  • Verified platform and domain availability across channels

  • Developed the name "Órale" which carries multiple layers of meaning:

    • A powerful call to action that drives momentum

    • An expression of solidarity and collective power

    • Language that centers community experience and culture

  • Created the strategic acronym: Organizing Rooted in Abolition, Liberation, and Empowerment

  • Provided strategic transition guidance

  • Ensured security for comprehensive digital assets
