National Immigration Law Center

Through a partnership with the Abundant Futures Fund, we partnered with the National Immigration Law Center to create bold, culturally rooted storytelling that centers farmworker voices.

We created an immersive landing page experience and video series centered on farmworker testimonies. Using a consistent multi-platform approach — a promotional anchor video, three individual audiovisual stories, and a dedicated digital hub—we shifted how people understand the humanity and resilience of the people who feed us.

"The Hands That Feed" Video

A 50-second anchor piece narrated by farmworker Roman Pinal. Motion typography, field footage, and sound design establish the emotional frame: "If you're eating an apple or peeling a carrot, ask yourself: What sacrifice was made for me to have this in my hands?" The video sets the stage for the individual stories that follow.

Three Individual Story Videos

Each 60-90 seconds, featuring farmworker testimony in original Spanish with English subtitles. Each video uses motion typography, color-coding, and complementary field imagery to differentiate stories while maintaining visual cohesion.

Alejandra speaks to the physical demands of harvest work—the extreme weather, the hours on her knees, the bodily cost of feeding a nation.

Olivia centers family and economic struggle across generations—eight children, all working the fields.

Ana breaks the silence on discrimination and fear tactics, calling for collective action.

Landing Page

The landing page serves as the hub—featuring all videos in a gallery layout, resources on farmworker rights, and clear calls to action that move visitors from awareness of farmworker conditions to becoming active allies.

This work makes visible what the food system depends on but refuses to acknowledge. It centers farmworker voices without mediation or narration, moving people from abstract concern to concrete human connection. The consistent, scalable format means NILC can continue adding stories — this isn't a closed project, but a living testimony to the people who feed us.
